Influenza-Associated Hospitalizations In Wisconsin Is On The Rise

The number of reported cumulative influenza-associated hospitalizations in Wisconsin is on the rise according to a Department of Health Services report through November 30, 2019. (Click Here To See The Report).

So far, there have been 109 reported cases with 44% of these cases reported for people in the 65+ age group. Younger adults have been susceptible to the flu as well with 23% of cases occurring in the 18-49 age group. Although not as severe as the epidemic we experienced in 2017, the number of hospitalizations in Wisconsin has steadily increased each week during November and is about 2 to 3-fold higher compared to a similar time in 2018.
