2018-2019 Flu Update

February 23rd

A quick update so far on the 2018-2019 seasonal influenza vaccine effectiveness. Note that the vaccine was quite effective last year as it is estimated that it prevented 7.1 million illnesses, 3.7 million medical visits, 109,000 hospitalizations, and 8,000 deaths. Vaccination can also reduce the severity of influenza-associated illness. Read more below!
