Influenza can be extremely dangerous for heart failure patients because they have compromised circulation and other health complications. The annual flu vaccination is regarded as a safe, low-cost way to reduce flu-related deaths and complications and is routinely recommended for heart disease and stroke patients.

According to the CDC, there have been between 9.3 million and 49 million illnesses each year from the flu since 2010. We recommend physicians encourage heart failure patients to get the flu shot during flu season. Learn more by reading the article below!
