Q: How many years have you been working at VaxPro?
A: I have been working with VaxPro for 3 years, and I’m looking forward to working with the team next flu season!
Q: What are your favorite things about working our flu clinics?
A: I really like the flexibility of the flu shot clinics. I am able to select my clinics to fit my family’s busy schedule. I also like the variety of clinics I get to work. Some of the clinics are small and I work independently and for the higher volume clinics I get the opportunity to work with the other nurses.
Q: What's your take on this past flu season and how do we prevent it from getting as severe in the future?
A: This past flu season was more severe and had a higher number of reported cases in the U.S. As a flu clinic nurse, it is important to educate people on the importance and effectiveness of the flu vaccine. To prevent the flu from spreading and becoming as severe as last year we need to educate people on the symptoms of the flu and encourage good health habits to prevent spreading the virus.
Q: Were you or anyone you know effected by the flu last flu season?
A: Fortunately my family was not affected by the flu this past season, however I have had close family members become very ill from influenza in past years. This past season was very concerning so I made sure my family was vaccinated.
